The First Visible Phenomena Reactor

Aspan Gallery, Almaty, KZ, 2021

The First Visible Phenomena Reactor is a series of performative experiments in visual perception and modes of activating a childlike way of seeing, based on the text Communication by John Cage.

Led by Guide-Performer Alexandra Morozova, the experiments unfolded within an immersive environment constructed from thousands of A4 paper sheets. The project featured the participation of the April Choir, alongside live music by Nurgul Nussipzhanova and Acell Shaldibayeva.

The work takes the form of a visually arresting, musically and atmospherically composed stage algorithm, investigating the possibility of contact with an invisible dimension first identified in 2018 within the project Svetoprestavleniye Sergey Kalmykov and later defined as the Universal Composition.

Produced by ORTA.
