The first canonical collection of texts by Sergey Kalmykov published in Kazakhstan.
This volume inaugurates a long-term publishing project devoted to the writings and drawings of the Soviet and Kazakhstani artist, writer, inventor, and visionary Sergey Kalmykov (1891–1967).
Compiled by Alexandra Morozova, the book brings together Kalmykov’s key theoretical texts on practical genius, a selection of speculative and science-fiction writings, and his foundational Eight Laws of Composition, which form the basis of his artistic and philosophical method.
The publication was produced as part of a joint project by ORTA and Vlast Publishing, within a broader initiative to activate Kalmykov’s literary practice. All texts were sourced from the Central State Archive of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
