This book marks the first appearance of Sergey Kalmykov’s texts in English and opens a series devoted to his writings and drawings.

Sergey Kalmykov (1891–1967)—Soviet and Kazakhstani artist, writer, inventor, and thinker of practical genius—conceived his work as a system for perceiving and composing reality.

​

The first volume, compiled by Alexandra Morozova, brings together Kalmykov’s theoretical texts on practical genius, speculative and science-fiction writings, and his foundational "Eight Laws of Composition", forming an entry point into his singular cosmology.
